DROUGHT DISASTER ASSISTANCE FOR LIVESTOCK AVAILABLE IN AREA COUNTIES
Ranchers and livestock producers in several area counties are now eligible to apply for drought disaster assistance.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture Farm Service Agency says farmers in Bledsoe, Bradley, Chester, Decatur, Franklin, Grundy, Hamilton, Hardin, Henderson, Lawrence, McMinn, McNairy, Marion, Meigs, Perry, Rhea, Sequatchie, Van Buren, Warren, and Wayne can now apply for grazing losses incurred in 2023.
Farmers in these counties can apply for the Livestock Forage Disaster Program. Officials say applications will be accepted through January 30, 2023.
