E. Calvin Holt, age 81, of Sweetwater, passed away on Tuesday, August 13, 2024. Mr. Holt was a member of the First Methodist Church of Sweetwater. He was a lifelong farmer and International Harvester Equipment dealer. Calvin was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and uncle. Preceded in death by his parents: Ernest “Bus” and Geraldine Holt, brother and sister-in-law: Lee Roy and Mary Ruth Holt, father-in-law and mother-in-law: Junior and Willie Brannon.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years: Linda Holt, sons, and daughter-in-law: Dennis Holt, Darrell and Julie Holt, daughter, and son-in-law: Callie and Craig Brackett, grandchildren: Parker and Kinley Holt, sister-in-law and brother-in-law: Judy and Julius Bruce, all of Sweetwater. Several nieces and nephews.
Calvin was a friend to many and a constant cut-up. A man who would take you for a ride on every back road in the country. Knew every farmer along the way and had probably traded cattle or equipment with most of them. He built a family and a farm that he was proud of and loved to talk about.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 15, 2024, at Kyker Funeral Homes, Sweetwater, from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. with the funeral service to follow at 7:00 P.M. in Kyker’s Chapel with Rev.
