Edgar Jacob Holman went to the Lord on March 2, 2022 at age of 75, after 29 days of battling Covid-19. He was born Aug. 13, 1946, in Baltimore, MD, the son of Carl L. Sr. and Virginia Jacob Holman.

Edgar was a life member of Sykesville Freedom District Fire Department for 63 years, serving in multiple line officer positions in fire and ambulance service and administrative positions. He was retired as a senior dispatcher at Howard County 911 Center where he served from 1978 to 2009. After his retirement, he and his wife Elaine moved to Crossville in 2009. He was also an active member of Central Baptist Church since 2011. He is survived by his loving wife, Elaine Jae Holman, of 53 years of marriage.

Edgar’s Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, March 26, at 1:30 p.m., at Central Baptist Church, 1346 S. Main St., Crossville. The family will receive friends from noon-1:30 p.m. before the service at the church. Everyone is invited to attend the dessert fellowship that will be held in the gym from 2-3 p.m
