Edward Herman Kramer, 99

Edward Herman Kramer, 99, of Kingston, passed away Sunday, November 16, 2025 at Jamestowne Assisted Living. Mr. Kramer was born February 8, 1926 in Los Angeles, California. Upon graduating early from Inglewood High School he enlisted in the United States Navy and entered into active service February 7, 1944. After completion of Elem. Torpedo School in Keyport, Washington he was assigned to the USS MISSISSIPPI and served as a radarman. Seaman First Class Kramer served his country proudly during World War II and was awarded numerous medals including the Philippine Liberation Medal with 2 bronze stars, Asiatic-Pacific Medal with 4 campaign stars, American Area Medal, and a World War II Victory Medal. After receiving an honorable discharge from military service in 1946 he worked as an engineer and planner in the aerospace industry for 35 years. After retiring, he and his wife traveled the world visiting over 72 countries. He also volunteered for the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department for 20 years before moving to Tennessee in 2009. Edward had a deep passion for woodworking and found joy in building toys for children through various hospitals and charities. He was also a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in White House, Tennessee. He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Milma Kramer; daughter, Susan Reese; parents, Edward and Rose Kramer; son in law, Douglas Buck.

The family will receive friends of Edward between 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in White House, Tennessee. Funeral services to follow beginning at 2:00 pm with Pastor Randy Sakach officiating. Graveside service with military honors will be conducted Friday, November 28, 2025 at 1:00 pm at Inglewood Park Cemetery in Inglewood, California.
