Edward W. Palmer, Jr., age 79 of Crossville, passed away March 30, 2024. He was born March 26, 1945 in Glen Falls, New York, the son of Edward W. Sr. and Shirley I. Rowe Palmer. He was a United States Navy veteran having served three tours in Vietnam. He retired after 21 years proudly serving our country as a Chief Petty Officer. He and his wife Mary Rita were married for more than sixty years and were members of Vine and Branches Fellowship Church in Dayton, Tennessee.

He is survived by his wife: Mary Rita Palmer; daughters: Kimberly Ann Lynch (Scott) of Crossville and Sheri Lynn Souders (Tony) of Sanford, South Carolina; son: David Edward Palmer of Inwood, West Virginia; brother: Kenneth David Palmer of New York; sister: Tosca Wilson (Demetrius) of Georgia; grandchildren: Zach Rhodes, Natanya Slone, Mark E. Perez, Micah Bussard, Josiah Bussard, Rita Palmer and Cadence Palmer; and great-grandchildren: Arianna, Owen, Camille, Octavia, and Ophelia.

He was preceded in death by his mother: Shirley Ida Rowe Harrington; father: Edward W. Palmer Sr.; brother: Robert Palmer; nephew: Kenneth Palmer Jr.; and granddaughter: Tiffany Palmer.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday April 6, 2024 at 11 a.m. at Vine and Branches Fellowship Church in Dayton, Tennessee.
