Funeral Services for Elese Cumby, age 75, of the Rocky Point Community, will be conducted on Friday, September 20, 2024, at 11:00 AM from The Chapel of Goff Funeral Home. Rev. David Harris and Rev. Jeff Masters will officiate with interment to follow in the Salem Cemetery. Mrs. Cumby was born on Saturday, February 26, 1949, in the Cliff Springs Community, to the late Mark Brown Masters and Delva Marie Howard Masters. Mrs. Cumby passed away on Monday, September 16, 2024, at her home. Mrs. Cumby worked at Ely Walker and retired from Wilson Sporting Goods. She loved crafting, gardening, birds, her animals and especially her dog Bo, and the outdoors. She was Baptist in Faith. Family meant everything to her especially her grandchildren. She is survived by, 1 son and daughter-in-law, Harlan Jr. “Harley” and Amy Cumby of the Rocky Point Community; 2 grandsons, Trenton Cumby and Ethan Cumby; 2 sisters and a brother-in-law, JoAnn Vaughn of the Muddy Pond Community, Elaine and Hollis Bowman of the Muddy Pond Community; and 1 brother, Mark Masters Jr. of Mayland, TN. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harlan Cumby Sr. The family will receive friends at Goff Funeral Home on Thursday, September 19, 2024, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
