Elizabeth Alexander Stair, 90 of Spring City passed away Sunday, September 6, 2026 at Decatur Wellness and Rehab Center in Decatur, Tennessee. She was born August 14, 1936 in Harlan, Kentucky to the late Ernest Daniel and Etta Clara Broyles Johnson. Elizabeth graduated from Jacksboro High School in Jacksboro, Tennessee. She spent the majority of her working career as a manicurist, but she also was a CNA and most importantly, a foster mom to several children. Elizabeth enjoyed crocheting, doing needlepoint and was a collector of all things pretty; including dolls and glassware. Her most favorite thing to do was go thrift store shopping. Elizabeth was a member of the Spring City Methodist Church.

Elizabeth was the last of five children and was also preceded in death by her son James Robert Weaver Jr. and the father of her children James R. Weaver Sr.

Survivors include her husband of 15 years Richard E. Stair of Spring City, her children Sharon Davis and Kathie Weaver both of Knoxville, her step daughter Marla (Andy) Stair Wood of Knoxville, five grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Memorial services will be Sunday, September 20, 2026 at 2PM at the Spring City Methodist Church with Rev. Dale Wyrick and Rev. Dave Grant officiating.
