Elizabeth Ann Jennings Dunaway, 92
Elizabeth Ann Jennings Dunaway, 92 years young, completed her journey on April 3, 2026 peacefully at her home with family. She was born on November 12, 1933 in Valhermosa Springs, Alabama to the late Wilber and Inez Jennings and grew up with the blessings and challenges of seven brothers.
Married to Ollie Dunaway in 1949 in Alabama, they made their permanent home in Crossville, Tennessee in 1958. Ollie preceded her in death in 1982. For over 60 years she has lived in their home on Halstead Drive in Crossville. Itβs where she loved her husband, itβs where she raised her children and grandchildren, and itβs where she completed her journey in this world.
Ann was the foundation of her immediate family. She lived a full life touching many with her love, kindness, and refusal to allow defeat in any venture she started. She was loved.
She is survived by her blessed family, including her children, Judy Angel, who has been Annβs sole 24 hour caregiver for several years, Don (Mary Ann) Dunaway, and Jerry (Carolyn) Dunaway; brother, Ronald Jennings; grandchildren (both natural and by love), Bryant Dunaway, Eric Angel, Logan Angel, Jason Dunaway, Jessica Glanton, Tiffiny Clark, Amy Cherry, and Beth Simmons; great grandchildren, Julianne Dunaway, Katie Coe, Grant Dunaway, Logan Dunaway, Jaret Dunaway, Porter Cherry, Thatcher Cherry, Calen Cherry, Kaitlyn Hale, Peyton Hale, Mia Glanton, and John Clark; and her great great grandchild (due September 2026), Oliver Coe.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Wilber Jennings and Inez Bramlett Jennings; her husband, Ollie; and her brothers, Gene, James, Fred, Bibb, Bryant, and Ted Jennings.
Ann declined any type of memorial celebration as she did not want the βattentionβ, but a private graveside service with immediate family was conducted and she now rests with her husband Ollie, in Crossville, Tennessee.
