June Swafford passed away surrounded by her family on May 16, 2022, after fighting a long hard battle with her illness. She was born on July 29, 1949, in Crossville, TN, where she spent her childhood and graduated from Cumberland County High School. June was a strong and successful business owner in Crossville for over 40 years. From oil and gas to sporting goods, and finally retiring from her Bookkeeping Unlimited business around 2011. While loving her work, she also enjoyed working in the yard and leisure gaming exchange. But, her main love in life was her family; that she would go above and beyond to provide for and protect. Just was also a follower of Jesus Christ and of the Baptist faith.

June is survived by her daughter Jeanne Swafford (Bruce Cannon); two granddaughters Beth (Mason) Brown and Emily (Alex) Swafford; her brother and sister-in-love Robert “Bob” and Debbie Wilson; great-grandchildren Emma and Grayson Brown and son to be born Stetson; along with a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents John and Verna Wilson; sister Johnnie Wilson; nephew Chip Simmons; and life partner George Hassler.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 18, 2022, at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 12:00p to 1:00p with the service at 1:00pm. The family will then bury June at Green Acres Memory Garden with a private graveside service.
