ERNEST ROY KILGORE age 67 of Crossville, TN passed away February 23, 2023. He was born June 6, 1955, in Crossville, TN, the son of Kenneth and Glenna Bilbrey Kilgore. He worked with Bush Construction as a foreman and attended Believers Fellowship Church. Ernest loved playing cards and horseshoes and enjoyed shooting pool.

He is survived by his wife- Susan Kilgore of Crossville, TN, son- Bubba Newsome and his wife Jennifer of Crossville, Kathy Reid and her husband Bryden, Kelly Kemmer and her husband Chris, Laura Larue, Nicole Hutson, Danielle King, Blessing Parker and her husband Jakob and Charity Newsome all of Crossville, TN and Destiny Newsome of Sparta, TN, sixteen grandchildren and one great-granddaughter, brother- Dennis Kilgore and sisters- Stella Hale and her husband Cliff and Annette Kilgore all of Spenser, TN.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother- Doug Kilgore, and sister- Pat Mills.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 1, 2023, at 2 pm at Hood Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 11 am-2 pm, three hours prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Crossville City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family has respectfully asked that donations be made to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105-9959.
