NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – A fight at the Nob Hill Apartment Complex on Saturday afternoon ended in one person being stabbed and two cars totaled. One witness explained to us his version of the story.

It all started when he says his brother-in-law was trying to go to work and there was a large party happening in the parking lot on Wallace Road. He asked the group to quiet down, which started a fight.

TRANSLATED “The group got angry and tried to attack him, there were eight people, and so my brother-in-law fled, he ran away and they damaged his car in the chase,” the witness said.

At some point he says they caught up to him and someone pulled out a machete. During the fight he says one man cut another man’s hand off.

Police confirmed that someone was taken to the hospital with injuries from a stabbing.

The witness says there needs be a change in the apartment complex.

TRANSLATED “What happened is really bad. We are tired of this behavior. I don’t know what’s wrong with some people,” he said.

Neighbors we spoke with said it was scary to have all this violence, especially with so many families living in the area.

TRANSLATED “They don’t remember that there are lots of families here who came here to live a better life,” the witness said.

Police are still investigating. There is no update on the condition of the victim.
