Firefighters in Meigs County responded last night to a structure blaze on the 400 block of River Road near Decatur.

Upon arrival, crews observed flames emanating from the roof and rear of an auto shop.

Without delay, units swiftly deployed an attack line and commenced an offensive attack, effectively suppressing the fire.

Through the coordinated efforts of the responding units, the fire was brought under control within a mere 20 minutes of the first engine’s arrival.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
