Knox County Rural Metro firefighters responded this morning to a house blaze at 827 Virtue Road. When they arrived they observed heavy flames coming from the front and garage area of the residence. The dwelling sustained major damage. The occupants were at home and thought they heard someone breaking into their home, but found an active fire in the garage. Both occupants and pets got out of the house prior to the fire department arrival. No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
