The first round of the 2023 TSSAA high school football playoffs will be held this Friday (November 3).

Here are the local teams participating in the playoffs:

In Class 1A, North Greene will travel to Oliver Springs, Jellico will host Rockwood, Clay County will host Sale Creek, and Unaka will entertain Coalfield.

In Class 2A, South Greene will be at Bledsoe County, undefeated York Institute will host Eagleton, and Monterey will travel to Fayetteville.

In Class 3A, Kingston will entertain Johnson County, Grundy County will be at Meigs County, and McMinn Central will host Watertown.

In Class 4A, Anderson County will host Sullivan East, Loudon will be on the road at Macon County, and Stone Memorial will travel to Hixson.
