Floy Leola Sims Oran age 91, of Oak Ridge, TN formerly of Harriman, TN passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at her home.
She is preceded in death by her husband Fred Gilbert Oran of Harriman, parents A.D. and Josie Sims of Harriman, sister Virginia Jenkins of San Antonio, Texas

Mrs. Oran was an elementary school teacher in the Harriman City School System for over 30 years, teaching 1st and 4th grade at Walnut Hill, Central and Bowers Elementary School. She touched the lives of hundreds of children.
After her retirement she spent some time caring for her aging parents, and then also cared for her ailing husband until his death in 2005. She also took special care to watch over her grandchildren as they were growing up to make sure that “Ma” was available when needed.
She was a longtime member, Sunday school teacher and nursery worker of South Harriman Baptist Church in Harriman.
The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at the Kyker Funeral Home in Harriman. Graveside service January 30, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. in Roane Memorial Gardens. Kyker Funeral Home of Harriman is serving the Oran Family
