Funeral Services for Floyd F. Whaley, age 83, of the Glade Creek Community, will be conducted on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at 1:00 PM from The Chapel of Goff Funeral Home.

Rev. Bobby Floyd will officiate with interment to follow in the West Cemetery.

Mr. Whaley was born on May 29, 1942, in Knoxville, Tennessee, to the late Andrew West and Bertha Mae Wooliver Whaley.

Mr. Whaley passed away on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at his home.

Mr. Whaley retired from GM Chevrolet In Toledo, Ohio, with 30 years of service. He was an outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and camping. He was a remarkable man whose love for his wife and family was the center of his world. He had a gift for lifting others up, always seeing the good in everyone he met. Known for his joyful spirit, he was rarely without a smile and brought warmth and laughter where he went. He carried no hate in his heart – only kindness, compassion, and love. His presence touched so many lives, and his loss will be deeply and forever felt.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Kathy Farley Whaley of the Glade Creek Community

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his infant son, Floyd Franklin Whaley Jr.; brothers, Ernest Whaley, Barney Whaley, Bruce Whaley, and Roy Whaley; sisters-in-law, Donna Whaley and Barb Whaley.

The family will receive friends at Goff Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, from 11:00 AM until time of services at 1:00 PM.
