FREEZING DRIZZLE AND FOG TONIGHT
Here is what I think is likely to happen with this weather system that is on the way. We will have some freezing drizzle and freezing fog through Sunday morning but then getting above freezing Sunday afternoon. A winter storm watch will go into effect at 6 p.m. Sunday evening and last until 6 a.m. Tuesday morning. The way it looks now is the Cumberland Plateau will have it a little better than the Nashville area and Points West of there because we will have some warmer air in the atmosphere above us at times and even though we do expect significant freezing rain Sunday night and Monday morning it could mix with some plain rain Monday afternoon as we get above freezing, if this happens then road conditions would improve during the afternoon but I think Colder Weather will then sweep in Monday night and it will all turn to snow and we will get several inches of accumulation by Tuesday morning. This is my latest thinking on this system but if there are any changes I’m going to keep you updated. The winter storm watch covers all of the Cumberland Plateau including Morgan County and all of Southern Kentucky and Middle Tennessee.
