FRIENDS OF OAK RIDGE LIBRARY BOOK SALE SLATED FOR FEBRUARY 14-17

The Friends of the Oak Ridge Library will conduct its Winter 2018 Book Sale February 14-17 in the Oak Ridge Public Library Auditorium, 1401 Oak Ridge Turnpike. Included will be print and other media – most ranging from 50¢ to $1.

The sale opens Thursday, February 14, from 5-7:30 p.m. for members only; on Friday, February 15, the hours are 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.; hours for Saturday, February 16, are 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. with a ½-price sale; and on Sunday, February 17, the hours are 2:30-5:30 p.m. with items going for $3/bag. In addition, there will be a silent auction running from Thursday through Saturday.

Scanning devices may be used Friday through Sunday. Friday is Facebook Day. Like Friends of the Oak Ridge Library on Facebook (www.facebook.com/foloakridge) and, when you come to the sale, receive a discount card, which may be used during the sale or at the Book Nooks later.

The Silent Auction begins Thursday evening and ends at 5 p.m. Saturday. It features an eclectic collection of publications and other items, including titles by former Lady Vols basketball head coach Pat Head Summitt, a travel-size chess & checkers set, and a collection of titles by William Makepeace Thackeray.

Donations of books, DVDs, CDs, and other publications are always appreciated, as the Friends of the Oak Ridge Library use them to fill the Book Nooks as well as the shelves at the Book Sale. Donations may be dropped at the main desk.
