Gary Wayne Lowery, age 66 of Kingston, Tennessee passed away early Wednesday morning on July 13, 2022. Gary was born on February 12, 1956 in Rockwood, Tennessee. Gary’s favorite pastime was spending time with his two grandbabies and awaiting his third grandbaby in October. He dedicated his life to public service with over 49 years in Emergency Medical and Fire Service in various counties and roles, including the last 30 years with Y12 Fire Services. Gary was known for his cheerful smile, his talkative nature, war stories from years of work, and his ability to never meet a stranger. He was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather.

He was proceeded in death by his mother and father-in-law, L.C. and Faye Fletcher, brother-in-law Phil Fletcher, and his parents Franklin and Thelma Lowery.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years, Debbie Fletcher Lowery, son Tony and daughter-in-law Jodi Lowery, grandson Nate, granddaughters Palmer and Fletcher Lowery, brother-in-law Rick Fletcher, sister-in-law Sandi Manning, nieces Nicki Girdner (Bill), Brandi Smith (TJ), nephew Brad Fletcher, special fur baby, Daisy, and several great nieces and nephews.

A special thanks to the ICU staff at Roane Medical and the EMS and Fire family who are sending memorials to the visitation. Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 16th from 1-3 pm at Kyker Funeral Home in Kingston, TN with a short service to follow at 3 pm. In accordance with Gary’s wishes, he will be cremated with no graveside service. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations can be made to the Roane County Animal Shelter or Roane County PAWS.
