Genata Looper, 90

Funeral Services for Genata Looper, age 90, of Byrdstown, Tennessee, will be conducted on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at 2:00 PM from The Chapel of Goff Funeral Home. Bro. Steve McClure and Dr. Larry Mason will officiate with interment to follow in the Harris Chapel Cemetery. Ms. Looper was the 7th child in a family of 8 children born on Thursday, August 29, 1935, in the Hanging Limb Community, to the late Joseph P. and Cora Lee Hoover Wilson. She attended Hanging Limb School for her first years and graduated from Rickman High School Class of 1954. She married Paul Looper on November 4, 1954, and they moved to Anderson, Indiana, where they spent the next 7 years and then returned to Tennessee after purchasing a farm in the Dry Hollow Community. She worked as a quality control inspector with Fleetguard/Cummins Plant in Cookeville with 33 years of service. With retirement came wintering in Okeechobee, Florida, for several years after the passing of her husband in 1998. In 2011, she purchased a home in Byrdstown, where she resided until her passing. Ms. Looper passed away on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at Livingston Regional Hospital. She is survived by her children, Doug and Phyllis Looper of Livingston, TN, Shelia and Mickey Jolly of Byrdstown, TN, Tim and Tammy Looper of Monterey, TN; grandchildren, Lori Looper, Drue (Courtney) Jolly, Kate (Randall) Dixon, Scott (Abby) Jolly, Cory (Alisha) Looper, Noah Looper, Matthew (Savannah) Looper, Ami (Andrew) Cameron, and Ashley Looper (Harrison Jones); great grandchildren, Liam Looper, Tucker, Ellie, Jett, and Millie Jolly, Lynnie Kate and Lane Dixon, Austin, Faith, Crawford, and Felicity Looper, Emma Cameron, Ezra Tays, and Everleigh Bromell; very special niece, Beverly Phillips of Monterey, TN; sister-in-law, Pauline Wilson of Cookeville, TN; and her wonderful neighbors, The Pemberton Family of Byrdstown, TN. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Looper; brothers, George, Dester, Emerson, Leslie, Hershel and Othel Wilson; and sister, Myma Miller. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations be given to Three Forks Church or Harris Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Goff Funeral Home on Saturday, February 7, 2026, from 12:00 PM until time of services at 2:00 PM. Arrangements and Care provided by D.M.
