A Georgia man died after an accident along the Spur between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge yesterday. Officers say 73-year-old Barry Willard Wallace of Cedartown died after a tree came down the slope and hit his car. He was the sole occupant of the car. Road crews are still working to stabilize the slopes on the spur from several inches of rain.
