Gladys “Pauline” Seiber Daugherty, 95, of Oliver Springs, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on October 1, 2024, with her daughter by her side.

Born and raised in Devonia, Tennessee, Pauline was the daughter of Daniel and Sally Riggs Seiber. She was one of eight siblings, all of whom have preceded her in death.

Pauline lived a simple life filled with love for her family and friends. She was a devoted member of First Baptist Church in Oliver Springs, where her faith remained strong throughout her life.

Pauline dearly missed her late husband Ralph and shared an unbreakable bond with her only daughter, Vikki.

Known by many names— “Granny,” “Aunt Pauline,” and “Mama”—she was fiercely independent, strong-willed, and always had an opinion to share.

Pauline was famous for her hospitality, always offering an open seat at her dining table to share her legendary southern home-cooked meals, including chicken and dumplings, cornbread, beans, and vegetable soup. Her home was a place of comfort and nourishment for all who knew her.

She is survived by her daughter, Vikki; her grandchildren, Shawn Jackson (wife Amanda), Kathy (husband Michael), and Paul (wife Emily); her great-grandchildren, Caela, Wyatt, Hannah, Haley, and Avery; her great-great-grandchildren, Jeremiah and Josyah; and many beloved nieces and nephews. Special people in her life included her “adopted” son Jerry Brown and Johnny Nisewande.

Pauline’s family and friends will forever remember her determination and the joy she brought to their lives. No obstacle ever stood in her way, and her strength and love will leave a lasting legacy.

A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, from 2:00PM to 3:00PM at Premier Sharp Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00PM with Pastor Kenny Rains officiating.

Burial will follow at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Clinton, TN.
