GRACE MARIE BROWN, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and teacher passed away peacefully on December 18, 2024, at the age of 77. She was born December 5, 1947, in Crab Orchard, TN the daughter of Bethel and Nelle Young Burnett.

Grace was a beacon of love, kindness and wisdom to everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She was a lifelong educator who dedicated her career to special education, inspiring young minds and instilling a passion for learning. Her patience, creativity and genuine care for her students left a lasting impact on countless lives.

Grace was the beloved wife to Jerry C. Brown who passed away in 2019 after 53 years of marriage. Together they built a home filled with laughter, faith and enduring love. She was the proud mother of Jerry Brown, Tonya Brown, Tabitha Garrett (Greg) and Mark Garrett (Gina), cherished grandmother to Brandon Brown, Kayla Palit (Shekhar), Tyler Kent (Kendra), Angel Witt (DJ) and Payton Garrett, Aspyn Garrett and Jerren Garrett and doting great grandmother to Rowan Palit, who brought immeasurable joy to her life. She also leaves sisters- Debbie Netherton (Tom) and Nina Burnett, mother-in-law- Wilma Brown, sisters-in-law- Judy Smith (Wayne), Charlotte Hennessee (Dale) and Linda Brown and brothers-in-law- Boyd Brown (Naomi), Dennis Richards and Ronnie Thomas. She also leaves a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband Jerry C. Brown, brother- Larry Burnett, sisters- Janet Thomas, Patricia Stubbs and Becky Richards and father-in-law- Roy Brown.

Funeral services will be held Monday December 23, 2024, at 1pm at Hood Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Monday from 11am-1pm two hours prior to the service at the funeral home. The burial will be in Green Acres Memory Gardens.
