A Sequatchie County grand jury will soon hear a case of an elementary school teacher facing assault charges.

Investigators say Holly Condra physically assaulted a student with her hands, and reviewed video footage before charging her with assault.

The student’s mother said her son has autism and is nonverbal.

The sheriff’s office says surveillance video showed Condra hitting and squeezing the student.

The Sequatchie County School System terminated Condra’s employment after the incident.
