Funeral Services for Harvey Whittaker, age 75, of Monterey, Tennessee, will be conducted on Thursday, July 16, 2026, at 2:00 PM from The Chapel of Goff Funeral Home. Rev. Michael Swallows and Rev. Michael Waters will officiate with interment to follow in the Muddy Pond Cemetery. Mr. Whittaker was born on Tuesday, April 10, 1951, in Monterey, Tennessee, to the late Robert Washington and Dovie Padgett Whittaker. Mr. Whittaker passed away on Monday, July 13, 2026, at his home. Mr. Whittaker was a self-employed mechanic also working through the years for several others including Earl Beaty and Ewin Russell. He was a loving, caring husband, and father and was known for his deep love he had for Dessie. He was a man with a generous heart, a true musician that enjoyed playing his guitar and singing and was a Christian. He is survived by his daughter, Rebecca Ashburn (James Wade) of Sevierville, TN; son, Curt Whittaker (Angelia England) of Monterey, TN; grandsons, Aaron Ashburn, John (Samantha) Ashburn, and James Wade III; granddaughter, Kylea (Hunter) Lewis; great grandchildren, Kaydan, Xyla, Clover, and Charlotte; sister, Barbara June Phillips; brother and sister-in-law, Leroy and Cheryl Rex; sisters-in-law, Kathy Whittaker, Judy Whittaker, and Shirley Whittaker; and a host of nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dessie Whittaker; siblings, Thomas “Sonny” Whittaker, Sara Jane Dillon, Nellie (Henry) Mannis, Gary Whittaker, Raymond Whittaker, Donald Whittaker, Marla Faye Burns, Robert Ray (Willine)Whittaker, Jefferson Whittaker, and Irene Rex.
