HAWKINS JUMPS FROM SECOND FLOOR OF COURTROOM DURING SENTENCING

The Meigs County Sheriff’s Department is requesting the public’s assistance in the search for a suspect who jumped from a second floor window of a courtroom during sentencing. Rashad Hawkins was ordered by a judge to serve time for failure to pay child support. Before Hawkins could be detained he ran towards a railing, jumped from the second floor and ran out of the building. Anyone with information on Hawkins whereabouts is asked to call 911.
