HAZEL LOUISA POTTER-DIXON age 96 of Crossville, TN passed away October 17, 2026. She was born June 12, 1930 in Morgan County, TN the daughter of Arnold and Sophronia Potter. She was retired after more than 40 years as a shipping clerk with Avery Dennison. She was also a member of Slate Springs Baptist Church. She loved working in her garden, canning her harvest and cooking delightful meals for her family as they were the center of her life. She was also enjoyed reading as a favorite pastime. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed by all.

She is survived by her daughter- Dianne Henline and her husband Larry of Crossville, TN, sons- Stephen Dixon also of Crossville and Joe Dixon of Knoxville, TN, grandchildren- Vickie Houston, Chance Dixon and Christy Burns (Wayne), great grandchildren- Jordan Isaacson (Drake), Jared Houston (Ana), Blaze Dixon and Ellie Dixon and brother-in-law- Jim Mize of Harriman, TN.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband- Ray Daniel Dixon, son Michael Dixon, infant daughter- Barbara Dixon, brothers- Ed Potter, Clennis Potter, Arnold Potter Jr., Paul Potter and Ralph Potter and sisters- Imogene Lawler, Bessie James and Helen Mize.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday October 20, 2026 at 1pm Central Standard Time at Potter’s Chapel Cemetery in Morgan County, TN. Bro. Phillip James will officiate.
