HIGH SPEED CHASE RESULTS IN HEAD-ON CRASH AND ARREST OF DRIVER
Loudon County authorities took 19-year-old Makalia Hope Robinson of Lenoir City into custody following a high speed chase after she allegedly took a car without permission. Officers first spotted the 2010 Ford Taurus occupied by Robinson on Ford Road. She turned onto Highway 11 and attempted to pass cars at speeds over 100 mph on a blind curve before colliding with an automobile head-on. Robinson faces numerous offenses including reckless endangerment, vehicular assault, theft of property, vandalism, evading arrest, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of legend drugs, reckless driving, driving under the influence, violation of the financial responsibility law, failure to move over for emergency vehicle, speeding and two counts of simple possession/casual exchange. She was processed into the jail and initially held without bond.
