Howard Andrew (Andy) Lane II, 62

Howard Andrew (Andy) Lane II, age 62, of Crossville, TN, passed away at Cumberland Medical Center on February 1, 2026.

Andy was born on October 6, 1963, in Murfreesboro, TN, son of the late Howard A. Lane I and Christine Q. Strong.

He is preceded in death by both of his parents, Howard Lane and Christine Lane.

He is survived by his wife, Lisa Lane; daughters, Laura Ashley Garrison, Carrie Lane Savinell (Joseph Christopher) and Abby Warren (Adrian Thomason); grandchildren, Dylan Johnson, Logan Johnson, Lane Savinell, Theo Savinell and Mae Savinell.

In 1986, he graduated from Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, where he studied Aerospace. Upon graduating, he was commissioned as second lieutenant in the US Air Force and then was honorably discharged as first lieutenant.

Andy left a legacy of faithfulness in his love for Jesus Christ, his family, and his care for others in the life insurance industry. He was marked by humble service, based on his love for the Lord, whether going the extra mile to care for his agents or volunteering his time and energy in various church ministries and the needs of many he knew. Andy’s faith was the bedrock of his life ever since his eyes were open to the gospel in 1991. It was unusual to spend any time with him and not hear, “Do you know about Jesus?.” His burden for others was seen in his persistent prayers for them.

Andy was married to his beloved wife Lisa for 37 years. He deeply loved her, his children, and grandchildren, actively encouraging and supporting them, and valued any time he could spend with them. As a Murfreesboro native, he loved reminiscing with them family stories that were knitted into the history of his beloved hometown, particularly around the Stones River National Battlefield. He will be remembered most by his family as a humble, loving, caring, sacrificial, funny, honorable, and faithful man who dedicated his entire life to serving Jesus and others.

Burial to be held at Evergreen Cemetery in Murfreesboro, TN. Arrangements and Care are provided by Bilbrey Funeral Home and Cremation Service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests charitable donations to be made to Love Worth Finding Ministries, a ministry Andy contributed to for many years.
