Howard Galyon age 95 of Harriman, Tennessee passed away Monday, April 13, 2026. Howard served in the U.S. Army Airforce during World War II. He was a longtime employee of Mead Corporation until they closed. Howard enjoyed working wood and giving away what he had made. He was of the Baptist faith and a believer in Christ.

Preceded in death by his parents; siblings; wife of 73 years, Mae Humphreys Galyon; son, Mike Galyon.

Survived by his daughter, Carolyn “Tikey” Vought and husband Steve; son, Larry Eugene Galyon and wife Dale; grandchildren, Alicia Whittenbarger and husband Ross, Clint Vought and wife Heather, Amy Barnes and Matthew Galyon and wife Leah; Eight great grandchildren; one special great great grandchild, Levi.

Family will receive friends from 11:30 AM until 1:00 PM Friday, April 17, 2026 at Kyker Funeral Home in Harriman, Tennessee. Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM Friday at Kyker Funeral Home in Harriman with Rev. Edsel West officiating. Burial will follow at Roane Memorial Gardens with Military Honors. Kyker Funeral Home of Harriman is serving the Galyon Family.
