HUFFY RECALLS TWO RIDE-ON TOYS; FIRE HAZARD

Toy company Huffy has announced two recalls for two different Ride-on toys.

Huffy 12-Volt Children’s Ride-On Tonka Dump Trucks Recall

Product: Huffy 12-Volt Tonka Dump Trucks (Models 17362, 17323)
Hazard: Controller overheating, posing fire and burn risks.
Remedy: Free replacement controller.
Recall Date: April 24, 2025
Units: ~23,260
Incidents: 3 overheating reports, 1 fire; no injuries.
Sold: Target, Sam’s Club (June 2023–March 2025), ~$300.

Details: Yellow/black trucks with “Tonka” labels, date codes 15623–18724. Consumers should stop use and contact Huffy for repair.

Huffy Torex 24V UTV Ride-On Toys Recall

Product: Huffy Torex 24V UTVs (Models 17249, 17310)
Hazard: Improper wiring causing overheating, posing fire risk.
Remedy: Free repair, with up to $50 reimbursement for third-party repairs.
Recall Date: April 24, 2025
Units: ~24,700
Incidents: 20 reports of smoking/fire, 5 minor burns.
Sold: Walmart (August 2019–December 2024), $500–$600.
