Hugh “Hoot” W. Patterson, age 82, a resident of Kingston, TN, passed away on December 26, 2025. He was born on April 27, 1943 in Kingston, TN.

He enjoyed going to Rocky Top to play lottery tickets and going to car shows and was proud of the trophies he won when he did have old cars. He worked for the city of Kingston for many years and retired from there. He will miss all his friends from the Rocky Top and the City of Kingston. He was also a veteran of the National Guard.

Preceded in death by his parents, Bonnie and Hugh Evans Patterson, sister, Peggy Trammell and her grandson Spencer Moore, nephew, Robby White, and Hoot’s little dog” Peanut”. Several aunts, uncles, other relatives and special friends.

Survivors include sisters; Bettye White of Harriman, and Judy Bardill and husband David of Kingston; nieces: Christi Locklear and husband Mitch of Raeford, NC, Becky Bardill and fiancé P.D. Huddleson of Kingston, Felicia Trammell and son Cody Moore of Rockwood, and grandnieces, Shelley White of Kingston, Abby Adkisson of Sevierville, nephew Johnny Bardill and wife Missy of Lenoir City, good friends Wanda Waldo of Harriman and Sylvia Cox of Kingston.

The family will receive friends from noon until 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at Kyker Funeral Home of Kingston. Funeral in the Kyker Chapel at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Randy Griffis officiating. Burial to follow at Kingston Memorial Gardens. Kyker Funeral Home of Kingston is serving the Patterson Family.
