Hughel Albert Campbell, age 82, of Crossville, passed away in his home surrounded by his wife and children on Tuesday, September 19, 2023. He was born on April 12, 1941, to the late, Edgar and Carrie (Hyder) Campbell. Hughel was a member of Grace Community Church.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years: Joann (Tabor) Campbell; children: Joel Griswold (Laura) of Louisville, Tennessee, Karen Griswold of Crossville, Shire Smith (Carl) of Crossville, and Teresa Campbell Breeding (Roger) of Crossville; grandchildren: Cheryl Thompson, Bo Smith, Justin Griswold, Jessica Clark, Caylin Brown, Rio Breeding, and Brianna Breeding; great-grandchildren: Piper Thompson, Parker Smith, Tucker Brown, and Anna Grace Clark; brother: Stanley Campbell; and sisters: Louise Wyatt, Karen Gardener, and Sharon Moseley.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son: Jimmy Griswold; and brother: J.D. Campbell.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until noon on Thursday, September 21, 2023, at Bilbrey Funeral Home in Crossville. Funeral services will be held at noon with Pastor Dennis Daniels officiating. Burial will follow at Green Acres Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Parkinson’s Research.
