I-40 ACCIDENT KILLS 68-YEAR-OLD ARIZONA MAN

We now have more details regarding the major wreck that took place yesterday on Interstate 40 Westbound near mile marker 331 in Cumberland County.

According to a report by the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Terry Lee Gross, a 68-year-old man from Arizona, was traveling west in the right lane and attempted to negotiate a sharp curve to the left. His 2006 Ford F250 was pulling a camper trailer and lost control. It skid to the left and struck a guardrail with the right side of the truck which is when the camper separated and overturned on the right side. The F-250 traveled over the guardrail and overturned coming to arrest in the median.

After the trailer separated, it slid on its side and came to a final rest in the left lane of the westbound Lanes.

Unfortunately, Gross would not survive this incident as his injuries were fatal.
