Jacqueline Louise Carr, age 93 of Dayton, passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at her home. She was born in Graysville, on June 24, 1932, the daughter of the late Ralph Hughes and Jimmie Ruth (Green) Hughes. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Carr; her daughter, J. Michele Keylon; and her brothers, James Hughes and John Hughes; and her sisters, Jane Strickland and Joanne Roberts.

Jacqueline was a devoted woman of the United Methodist Church faith. Prior to making her home in Dayton in 1978, she resided in Ohio, where she pursued her passion as a beautician and proudly owned her own salon. Throughout her life, Jacqueline remained active in her community, and in Dayton, she cherished her membership in the Order of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by her three children, Donna O’Mara of Bluffton, SC, Susan Davenport of Phoenix, AZ, and Guy (Brigitte) Hull of Las Vegas, NV; her four grandchildren, Blakely Keylon of Alabama, J. Amanda (Corey) Wampler of Dayton, Zachary (Heather) Hawkins of Sale Creek, and Rhonda (David) Schrader of Bluffton, SC; her eight great-grandchildren, Skyelyne, Zeke, William, Keagan, Lashawna, Izaiah, Erika, and Elizabeth; and her sister, Kitty Bawtenheimer of Butler County, OH.

Funeral services for Jacqueline will be at Vanderwall Funeral Home in the chapel at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, with Rev. Mark Hickman officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Pleasant View Cemetery.
