James Adam Phillips, age 43, of Oak Ridge, TN, passed away on Sunday, September 20, 2026. Adam will be remembered for his infectious laughter, great sense of humor, and the endless pranks he loved to pull on those around him.

He had a deep love for music, especially Metallica, and was a devoted fan of Marvel and the Avengers, with Iron Man being his favorite. Adam also enjoyed playing the guitar and spending time camping and enjoying the outdoors.

Adam is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Michelle Phillips; daughter, Jolee Phillips; sons, Austin Phillips and Preston Quindry; parents, Kathy and Andy Bowman;

brother, Chris Bowman; sisters, Ashton Earwood, Melinda Phillips, and Dusty Raqeeb; along with a host of other loving and cherished family members and friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, Tim Phillips; brother, Jordy Phillips; grandparents, Verma Lee Brown, Don Roberts, and Lanie Phillips; and cousins, Skyler Ledford and Savannah Craven.

The family will receive friends on Friday, September 25, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a service to follow, at Sharp Funeral Home.
