James “Buddy” H. Randolph, 86
James “Buddy” H. Randolph, age 86, of Sparta, TN, passed away at Cumberland Medical Center on July 8, 2026.
Mr. Randolph was born on June 21, 1940, in White County, TN, son of the late Ernest Randolph and Dorothy (Johnson) Randolph.
Buddy dedicated many years of his life as a factory worker. Outside of work he loved using his hands to build, create, and craft, always finding joy in making things. He will be remembered for his quick wit, great sense of humor and the laughter he brought to those around him. One of his most memorable traits was giving nicknames to family and friends, a joyful habit that made everyone feel special. He also enjoyed simple pleasures in life, especially watching classic westerns and wrestling on television which brought him much enjoyment in his retirement. His laughter and love will be cherished and remembered by all who knew him. Above all, he loved his family deeply.
He is survived by his son, Jeff Randolph; daughter, Dorothy Trosclair (Kenneth); grandchildren, Taska Morelock (James), Linda Nicole Scott (Jon), Jeffery Lynn Randolph, Jr. (Angela), KC Trosclair II, AJ Trosclair (Andraya), Justin Trosclair (Courtney), Angelia Trosclair, and Shayla White; great grandchildren, Kennedy Morelock, Madison Morelock, Aiden Morelock, Joci Morelock, Benson Morelock Jamal Scott, Bradon Miceli, Alyssa Miceli, Rylee Scott, Kaylee Randolph, Sydney Randolph, Greyson Randolph, Brynnlie Randolph, and River James Trosclair; and the expected arrival of his first great great grandchild in September, Adlynn Miceli; sisters, Margaret Parks, Elizabeth Bruce, Linda Thompson, and Brenda Walker; brothers, Chester Bruce and Robert Lee Young.
In addition to his parents, Buddy was preceded in death by his first wife, Linda Carol (Norris) Randolph; second wife, Patricia (White) Randolph; brother, Leonard Young; and sister, Louise Bradley.
Funeral service will be held at Bilbrey Funeral Home on Sunday, July 12, 2026, at 1:00 PM with Bro. Andrew Lewis officiating. Burial to follow at Mayland Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 11:00 to 1:00 PM prior to the service.
Pall bearers will be KC Trosclair, AJ Trosclair, Justin Trosclair, Jeffery Randolph, Jon Scott, and James Hyatt.
The family would like to thank Cumberland Medical Center ICU nurses, doctors and staff for the excellent care he received during his last days.
