James F. Kirk, age 58, of Pleasant Hill, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, January 5, 2024.

Mr. Kirk was born on December 16, 1965, in Peoria, IL, the son of Robert Kirk and Sadie (Barnwell) Moore.

James was a master upholsterer, handyman, avid fisherman, and lifelong bowler. He was fearless and loved fiercely. James could be counted on to drop everything and help whenever there was a problem that needed fixing.

He is survived by his wife: Elaine Kirk; sisters: Tina Cloud, Marjorie Wageman, Sandy Johnson, and Karen Richeson; brother: Harold (Kim) Kaebel; several cousins including Teri Henderson, Benny Barnwell, and James Atkinson; mother-in-law: Linda Robinson; sisters-in-law: Laura Paulsen and Rebecca Heiden; brother-in-law: Thomas (Heather) Robinson; special brother: Jon Ocealis; godparents: Rosa Lee and Gary Evans; many close friends including Don Bell, Brent Modglin, Ty Tucker, Tom Buck and pastor Don Haston; nieces: Elizabeth, Rose and Lily Heiden; nephews: Dwight Heiden, Boyd Heiden and Drew Robinson; and a host of other family members and friends.

In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his brother: Emmett “Corky” Kirk; father-in-law: Evan Robinson; brothers-in-law: David Heiden and Eric Paulsen; and his best friend and fishing buddy: Sam Graham.

The family will be having a celebration of life at Pomona Methodist Church, 57 POW Camp Road in Crossville, on Friday, January 12, 2024, at 3 p.m.
