James H. Treadaway, 79, passed away on August 9, 2025. He was born in Wewoka, OK to Jacqueline and Henry Treadaway on September 13, 1945. James was an avid gun collector, enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time with his family. He served in the United States Army and was a US Federal Marshall for most of his law enforcement career. James was also a locksmith and took pride that he could “break into anything.” James also loved good food, never turned down a home cooked meal and enjoyed trips to the grocery store. He never met a stranger, would talk to anyone and will be remembered for being happy and content. He also enjoyed “gettin’ in the truck” with his grandson, Lloyd, regardless of the destination.
In addition to his parents, James is preceded in death by his daughter, Jennifer Treadaway; granddaughter, Renae Cauthron; his wives, Dora “Elaine” Treadaway and Vicky Treadaway.
James is survived by his four children, Jean Lamproe, Cindy Cauthron, Ricky Treadaway and Randy Treadaway; his four grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
