James “Jim” F. Weaver, 96
Mr. James “Jim” F. Weaver, age 96, of Harriman, went to be with his Lord and Savior on March 11, 2025. Jim was a long-time member of Riverside Baptist Church and worked at Roane Hosiery for more than 40 years until its closure. He enjoyed watching the UT Vols, area high school sports, and was an avid runner in his younger years. He enjoyed visits and reminiscing with family and friends. Jim was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and friend.
He is preceded in death by his son: Tommy Weaver.
Parents: Faraday & Ella Weaver.
Four sisters: Mildred Smith, Betty Magaha, Chloris Collier, and Katherine Smith.
Three brothers: Bob Weaver, Cletus Weaver, and Tommy Weaver.
He is survived by his son: Dusty Weaver and Anita.
Grandchildren: Doug Weaver, Richard Weaver, Dawn Weaver, Leann Bobadilla, Amy Miller, and Thomas Weaver Jr.
Great grandchildren: Kelsey Belanger, Charlie Brown, Julie Mae Weaver, Blainey Weaver, Thomas Ed Weaver III, Brooklyn Miller, Jodi Miller, Layla Miller, Isaiah Story, Alex Story, and Marcelino Bobadillo.
Great great-grandchildren: Kentlee Belanger, Anthony Story, Atticus Story, Lyric Story, Marshall Story, and Luna Story.
Very dear and special friends: Wilma Freels, Angie and Louie Smythe and family.
The family appreciates the kindness from Jim’s church family and friends who visited, sent cards, prayed, and brought him encouragement through the years.
The family will receive friends Monday March 17, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Davis Funeral Home in Harriman. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 PM with Bro. Jim Disney officiating. Graveside services will follow in Harriman City Cemetery.
