James Robert “Jim” Lowe, aka “Dr. Jimmy” age 71, of Sweetwater, formerly of Madisonville. Peacefully left this earth surrounded by his family on Wednesday, October 2, 2024. He was a graduate of Madisonville High School, and Hiawassee College in Madisonville. Jim was a lifelong musician and artist. Active member of the Monroe County A.A. groups. Preceded in death by his parents: John Lowe Sr., and Martha Lowe.

Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law: Shawn and Brandi Lowe, of Sweetwater, grandchildren: James Logan Lowe, of Greenback, Joshua Freeman, of Knoxville, Alexis Campbell, of San Antonio, TX, Lexie Lowe, of Clarksville, Jacob Lowe, of Athens, great-grandchildren: Liam Freeman, Daniel Jennings, Axell Deason. Sisters: Mary Lee, of Chattanooga, Nancy Moore, of Knoxville, brother: John Lowe Jr. of Cleveland, sisters-in-law: Tammy Buchanan, and Cindy Leonard, both of Sweetwater. Nieces: Cate Goins, Maggie Lowe, Wende Slimp, and Jenny Music.

The family will receive friends on Friday, October 4, 2024 at the Sweetwater Memory Chapel from 6:00P.M. until 7:00P.M. with a celebration of life service to follow in the Memory Chapel. Sweetwater Memory Chapel in charge of arrangements. www.kykerfuneralhomes.com
