Jennifer Lynn Smith Jordan, age 50 of Dayton, passed away on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, in Bakewell. She was born in Crossville on February 9, 1976, the daughter of James “Jim” and Ginger (Goodson) Smith. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Trester and Dorothy Smith, and Coy and Ollie Goodson.

Jennifer recently started a position at La-Z-Boy and was previously employed as produce manager at Walmart. Outside of work, she found joy in kayaking, fishing, and gardening. She was also devoted to her church, Graysville Church of God, where she drove the church van and volunteered her time, but nothing meant more to her than the time she spent with her family.

In addition to her parents, Jim and Ginger Smith of Dayton, she is also survived by her two brothers, Kevin (Jodi) Smith, and Andrew (Waynett) Smith; her sister, Kim (Lamar) Pendergrass; her nieces and nephews, Lauren, Ashley (Jessica), Jaycee (Byrce), Mya (Daniel), Aniesha (Oscar), Kameron, Keirra, Kollin, and Ian (Natalie); her great-nieces and great-nephews, Tori (Chayim), Coby, Rhett, Olivia, Adalynn, Elijah, Eric; and her best friend and companion, David Tibbs.

A funeral service for Jennifer will be held in the chapel at Vanderwall Funeral Home at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 13, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Michael Shrum officiating. She will be laid to rest at Rhea Memory Gardens.
