Jerome Perry Phillips, age 64, was born on December 29,1957 in Crossville, Tennessee to Olath Phillips and Z. Joyce (Barnwell) Phillips.  He passed away on November 25, 2022, at Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Perry is survived by his wife, Teresa Renee (Williams) Phillips: sons, Samuel Joe Phillips of Crossville, TN and Eric Jerome Phillips (Heather) of Round Rock, TX; grandchildren, Ryliegh Marie Phillips and Caleb Andrew Phillips, both of Round Rock, TX; mother, Joyce Phillips; sister, Bonnie Blankenship; nephew, Colt Blankenship (Ashley); niece, Amanda Blankenship; great nephews, Braydon Blankenship and Robert Naser of Crossville, TN; and great niece Kay Lynn Blankenship of Crossville, TN.

He is preceded in death by his father, Olath Phillips; grandparents Amon and Minnie Hattie (Lee) Barnwell and Kelly and Ida Lee (Walker) Phillips; and uncle, Tommy Wellman.

Perry was employed at Crossville Ceramics for nearly 33 years where he worked as an Electrical/Electronic Technician.

He was known to his family and friends as “Mr. Fix It”.  There was nothing he could not fix or repair.  He was very talented in many areas.  He could weld, did wood working, carpentry, plumping, HVAC, electronics, and electrical.  He recently obtained his Electrician’s License.  At one time, Perry was owner/operator of OAR Sports where he was a Scuba Diving Instructor in addition to offering Caving/Rappelling and Coon Hunting supplies.  He was a former member of the Cumberland County Rescue Squad and also obtained his Private Pilot License in 1997.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, November 28, 2022, at 3:00 PM in the Chapel at Bilbrey Funeral Home followed by burial at Pomona Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 27, 2022, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Bilbrey Funeral Home.
