Jerry “Logger” Patterson, Sr., age 70, a resident of Harriman, passed away with his family by his side on Sunday, September 29, 2024, after battling a lengthy illness.

He grew up and lived in Morgan County, TN for most of his life before moving to Harriman, TN the last 14 years. He had his own business as an artisan cabinet maker and was highly sought after.

Jerry enjoyed hunting, cars, motorcycles, being outdoors, and spending time with his family.

He is preceded in death by his father Henion Patterson and mother Marie McCrary; siblings Glen Patterson, Lenn Patterson, Jessie Patterson, and Mary Ruth Smith.

Jerry is survived by his former wife and caregiver Willa Patterson; children Jerry Patterson, Jr. (wife Heather), Jacob Patterson, Gracie Duncan; step-brother Harold Simmons (wife Sherry); sisters Glenda Mundt (husband Mark), Shirley McKinney (husband Steve); grandchildren Ashton Lowe (husband Gabe), Aleah Patterson; great-grandchildren Chad Anthony Lowe, Reign Lowe, and Laney Jo Lowe; sisters in law Louise Patterson and Jenny Patterson; special friend Terry; also by nieces, nephews, extended family, and many special friends.

The family would like to give a special “Thank You” to the Amedisys Hospice staff, his social worker and nurses, especially Terry, David, and Julie.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at Premier Sharp Funeral Home in Oliver Springs, TN between the hours of 5:00-7:00pm and a funeral service to follow at 7:00pm with Chaplain Mike Justice and Pastor Greg Overton officiating. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at Stephens Cemetery at 2:00pm.
