JERRY QUALLS, AGE 75

Funeral services for Jerry Qualls, age 75, of the Mayland community, will be on Sunday, March 10, 2024, at 5 p.m. at Dripping Springs Independent Missionary Baptist Church. Full military honors will be provided by the Veterans Honor Guard. Mr. Qualls was born on Tuesday, April 27, 1948, in Overton County, to the late DW and Anna Jean Blaylock Qualls. Mr. Qualls passed away on Friday, March 8, 2024, at his home. Mr. Qualls was a general contractor. He loved traveling, camping, hunting, and fishing. He was a United States Vietnam Army War Veteran serving 2 tours of duty and was very patriotic and loved his country. He adored his wife and loved his family. At the end of his life, he found salvation and loved God the most.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years: Sherrie Looper Qualls; daughters and 2 sons-in-law: Samantha Hendrix of Crossville, McKinsey, and Frankie Shupe of the Mayland community, Alisha and Allen Garrett of Clarkrange, and Miranda Baker of Athens; 14 grandchildren; and brothers and sisters-in-law: Randy and Nita Qualls of Crossville and Michael and Darlene Qualls of Crossville.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son-in-law: Ronald Hendrix;  and 2 brothers, Larry and Gary Qualls.

The family will receive friends at Dripping Springs Independent Missionary Baptist Church on Sunday, March 10, 2024, from 3 until 5 p.m.
