Jerry Wayne Lawson Sr, age 77, passed away Saturday, August 10, 2024, peacefully at his home in Kingston, Tennessee. Jerry was surrounded by family as he left this earth to be received by the Hands of God.

Jerry was born in Oak Ridge on November 20, 1946. He married his high school sweetheart, Rebecca “Becky” Monday on September 10, 1965, and has been married for 58 blissful years.

Jerry was a lifelong member of Kingston Church of Christ.

He was a kind and generous man who will always be remembered as a man of his word.

Jerry was predeceased by his parents, Carl Lawson and Dorothy (Flatt) Lawson; his sister, Brenda Branson; and his beloved dog and constant companion, Bogey Lawson.

Surviving in addition to his wife, Becky are his daughter, Sonja Orick (Conley) of Kingston; son, Wayne Lawson (Tina) of Gleason; and two grandsons, Ryan Orick and Brady Orick (Chelsea).

The Lawson family will receive friends from 11:00 – 12:30 pm, Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at Fraker Funeral Home. A service of remembrance will follow at 12:30 pm, in the chapel with Danny Nunn and Kirkland Wheeler presiding. Jerry will be laid to rest following the service, at 2:00 pm, at Roane Memorial Gardens in Rockwood.
