JEWELL GAYLE BYRGE, age 72 of Cookeville, TN, formerly of Crossville, passed away August 28, 2021. She was born October 13, 1948, in Jefferson City, TN the daughter of O.S. Jr. and Imogene Martin Rainwater. She was retired from Cumberland Medical Center, where she worked for more than 40 years.

She is survived by her daughter – Tammy Neal of Cookeville, TN, brother- Fredrick Scott Rainwater and his wife Barbara of Calhoun, GA, sister- Berta Naugle and her husband Bill of Cookeville, TN, grandson- Timur Tarakcioglu of Stockton, CA and her special grand dogs- Sadie, Max and Owen.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband- McKinley Byrge and sister- Vanessa Rainwater Brady.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday August 31, 2021, at 7pm at Hood Funeral home. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5pm-7pm prior to the service at Hood Funeral Home. Graveside Committal will be held Wednesday September 1, 2021, at 11am at Crossville City Cemetery.
