Graveside Funeral Services for Jim Harvill, age 79, of the Thorn Gap Community, will be conducted on Sunday, February 15, 2026, at 2:00 PM at the Shady Grove Cemetery.

Pastor Steve Looper will officiate.

Mr. Harvill was born on Friday, November 15, 1946, in Rinnie, Tennessee, to the late John David and Clora Murphy Harvill.

Mr. Harvill passed away on Friday, February 13, 2026, at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Harvill was an electrician.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce Murphy Harvill

children, Derick Harvill, Jimmy Harvill, Becki Montooth, Sharon Matheney, and Teresa Green

several grandchildren

brother, Gerald Harvill

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Ron Harvill.

The family will receive friends at the Shady Grove Cemetery for graveside funeral services.
