Jimmy Keith Watson, 60
Evans – Mr. Jimmy Keith Watson was born in Rockwood, Tennessee to Army Veteran Mr. Jimmie Doyal Watson and Mrs. Diane Watson on December 20, 1966. He proudly served in the United States Air Force as a Fuel Specialist during Operation Desert Storm. During his time, he was awarded the Air Force Overseas Long Tour Ribbon and Air Force Commendation Medal. He separated from the United States Air Force in 1991 with an Honorable Discharge. He would later be inspired by the medical field and worked a short stint as a Licensed Practitioner Nurse in Lenoir City until his retirement where he enjoyed Gorilla Tape, building computers from the ground up, taking care of his pet fish, and taking long strolls through Walmart.
Jimmy will be remembered for his steadfast ways, his quiet strength, and unwavering commitment to his family and country. He felt things deeply, often experiencing life’s joys and sorrows with an intensity not found in many people. He was a beloved son, father, and brother.
He is survived by his father, Jimmie Doyal Watson; his sons, Petty Officer First Class Andrew Keith Watson (Vaimalu) and Lance Corporal Jimmie Isaac Watson (Rayna); his grandchildren, Dahlia-Rose, Gemini, Anarchy, and Hudson; sister, Kitty Honeycutt; niece, Olivia Carter; nephew, Patrick Honeycutt, and grandnephew, Isaac Carter.
He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Diane Watson.
A service with military honors and burial will be held on Tuesday, June 10, 2025 at 12:30PM at East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, 2200 E Gov. John Sevier Hwy 168, Knoxville, TN 37920.
