Joby Britton Oody age 91 of Harriman, TN passed away Saturday, September 20, 2025
She was a longtime member of Riverside Baptist Church in Harriman. In her younger years she loved to dance, now she is dancing in heaven.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 51 years Arthur Lee Oody, parents Maynard and Ada Britton, sisters Irene Britton Hines, Ruby Bledsoe, Wilma Hicks, brother Maynard Britton Jr.

Daughter Patricia Britton of Knoxville
Stepchildren Robin and Darrel Oody
Sister Vontella Whalen
Sister-in-law Ethel Britton
And a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

The family will meet in Roane Memorial Gardens at 11 a.m. for a Graveside Service Thursday, September 25, 2025, with Rev. Greg Kelly officiating. Prior to graveside service, viewing will be from 9 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at Kyker Funeral Home in Harriman.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Riverside Baptist Church or Projectbeingthere.org a charitable organization working to improve the lives of children living at St. An’s orphanage located in Vietnam. Kyker Funeral Home of Harriman is serving the Oody Family.
